Welcome To Shine Montessori

Shine Montessori Educare (SME) is a Christian Early Learning Centre, committed to providing high quality learning experiences that enable children to develop independence, confidence, competence and the ability to be self learners.

Shine’s qualified and experienced Montessori and ECE teachers act as a dynamic link between the child and the Montessori prepared environment. We keenly observe and actively encourage children to pursue their individual interests at a pace they set, helping them gain an early enthusiasm for learning.

SME is an effective learning environment which provides children with set daily routines that incorporate a blend of structured Montessori activities alongside other purposeful play activities. Children acquire the necessary cognitive skills that provide solid foundations for later learning. These skills empower children to be independent, self confident, contain a high self esteem and a love of learning – all while they are having FUN!

Due to ongoing requests from parents for additional places we have opened two Centres in Lower Hutt:

• An under 3’s Nursery situated in Avalon
• A Preschool for children aged 3-5 years in Waiwhetu, Lower Hutt
